As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer on the Infrastructure team, you will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of Airwallex's globally distributed cloud network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for maintaining and expanding network infrastructure into new regions while adhering to strict regulatory and compliance requirements for financial services. Key responsibilities include: - Design and maintain highly available, secure production network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud environments spanning multiple global data centers and cloud regions - Manage global connectivity over international leased lines and domestic internet connections - Configure and troubleshoot complex network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud environments - Act as first responder for complex network incidents, running them through to completion with after-action reporting - Mentor and train junior engineers while helping design the team structure for future growth - Collaborate with InfoSec, DevOps, Database, Corporate IT, and Facilities teams to integrate network solutions - Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures - Evaluate and recommend networking technologies to support business growth - Participate in global on-call rotation for production and infrastructure issues - Support pre-scheduled network upgrades with flexible scheduling to minimize business disruption Required qualifications include CCNP/JNCIP-level networking foundation, demonstrated experience in mixed vendor environments (Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba), and at least 3 years of AWS networking experience in production. You'll need strong documentation habits, understanding of change-control processes, basic GCP knowledge, and solid command-line configuration skills for networking hardware. Strong BGP and route-filtering knowledge is essential, along with collaborative work habits and outcome-oriented approach.
