Valar Atomics is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure. The role focuses primarily on AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, EKS) with secondary support for Azure workloads.
Key responsibilities include:
- AWS Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, managing core services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and container orchestration. Provide secondary support for Azure services as needed.
- Kubernetes Management: Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS and AKS) for containerized workloads, including cluster scaling, networking, security configurations, and operational excellence.
- CI/CD Pipeline Design: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise to automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments, ensuring fast and reliable releases.
- Infrastructure as Code: Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, enabling reproducible, version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with software engineering, security, and platform teams to streamline deployments, improve system observability, drive best practices, and support the organization's technology infrastructure needs.
- System Reliability: Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions that support operations across the company, with a focus on automation and high availability.
The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipeline design, GitHub Enterprise, and Terraform, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where automation and reliability are top priorities. This is a fully on-site position at the Torrance, CA location with no relocation assistance available.
