Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Cloud Deployment Engineer to support its Space team's mission of expanding AI-powered capabilities for U.S. military and allied partners. The Space Domain Awareness Network (SDANet) is a key program deploying integrated hardware and software systems globally, including Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads.
You will be responsible for researching and planning deployment strategies into classified government cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure. Key responsibilities include:
- Design cloud networking and engineering solutions that meet security, cost, and performance requirements
- Deploy Anduril software into government infrastructure and promote it through various stages
- Identify, triage, and resolve Kubernetes issues in deployed environments, developing mitigation plans in partnership with government platform management
- Design and implement observability, alerting, and maintenance requirements for smooth operations
- Deliver and maintain accreditation artifacts and standards for environments and systems
- Stand up and maintain representative unclassified environments for testing and development
- Provide direct in-person expertise during mission-critical periods
- Ensure deployed systems meet security and compliance requirements through regular updates and OS patching
Required qualifications include 8+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, strong proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP, expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible), containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm), deep networking knowledge, programming ability in Python/Go/Bash/Rust, and an active U.S. Secret security clearance with eligibility for Top Secret clearance.
Preferred qualifications include extensive Kubernetes expertise, DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 or 2 certification, CCNA, government cyber certification experience, DoD/sensitive customer systems experience, familiarity with DoD network enclaves (NIPR, SIPR), and military service background with space experience.
