Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Business Operations Engineer to join the Air Dominance & Strike Division in Costa Mesa. This role sits at the intersection of operations, engineering, and data systems, supporting the rapid scaling of next-generation defense products including Fury collaborative combat aircraft, RoadRunner and Barracuda missiles, and Mission Autonomy software.
You will own end-to-end operational software solutions that leverage data and AI to accelerate product development, testing, manufacturing, and field deployment. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting project impact, prioritization, and timelines for operational initiatives
- Building and growing a team of engineers while leading by example during hyper-growth
- Partnering with senior leadership to solve Anduril's highest-priority operational challenges
- Developing test data infrastructure in collaboration with Flight Test and Engineering teams to support rapid iteration across system configurations
- Architecting fleet management systems that monitor operational performance and reliability of aircraft in the field
- Designing tools and metrics that enable production scaling from single units to thousands while supporting rapid product introduction
- Embedding with engineers to understand workflows, identify bottlenecks, and locate critical problems
- Building operational applications in a scrappy but effective manner, iterating closely with users
- Creating systems and infrastructure that allow applications to mature, scale, and roll out in field environments
- Collaborating with Anduril's corporate Analytics team to expand data ontologies and generalize solutions across the company
You bring 5+ years of experience in technical operating roles with a proven track record of owning projects end-to-end from ambiguity to scalable delivery. You have strong engineering fundamentals (CS, Engineering, Physics background), coding experience (Python, SQL, React, TypeScript), and exposure to data systems (dbt, Redshift, Looker/Tableau, Palantir Foundry). You excel at leading through influence, building high-performing teams, and communicating strategically with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You're intellectually curious about the intersection of analytics and hardware, motivated by mission-driven work, and energized by business impact. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
