DuckDuckGo, a profitable online protection company founded in 2008 with 300+ employees and $100M+ annual revenue, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead complex product partnerships and drive strategic initiatives across its portfolio (search, Duck.ai, Privacy Pro subscriptions). In this role, you will own DuckDuckGo's most sophisticated partnership deals, sourcing and negotiating high-impact agreements that materially enhance the company's product ecosystem. You'll work on first-of-their-kind partnerships where product, economics, and strategic value must be determined collaboratively. This is 0-to-1 work requiring you to create playbooks, structure novel deals, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to bring them to market. Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of competing and complementary partner relationships (particularly in AI), identifying opportunities to drive product enhancement and user engagement, and creating new distribution channels for AI-related services. Your work will directly shape how Duck.ai, Search Assist, and other products evolve and reach millions of users. You bring 10+ years of business development, partnerships, or strategic partnerships experience, with at least 2+ years leading cross-functional partnership projects involving legal and engineering teams. You have deep experience with consumer internet or user-facing software, understand the AI/LLM ecosystem, and have successfully led complex product partnerships end-to-end—not just sales or API licensing deals. You're self-sufficient on commercial details (drafting terms, building financial models, pressure-testing structures) and can balance competing strategic priorities. You build trust quickly, are collaborative by default, and decisive when needed. You must be located in the US or Canada. Compensation: $200,267 USD annually plus stock options. The company offers transparent, level-based compensation, paid parental leave, office setup allowances, and co-working support. US-based team members receive company-sponsored health benefits. The role requires occasional video conferencing and travel (2x annually for all-hands and team retreats, 4-5 days each). Full-time commitment averages 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling and no core hours.
