This is a hands-on Senior Business Analyst role focused on building and scaling the credit and analytics foundation. You will own the data infrastructure that powers Jeeves's credit decisions across Latin America and beyond. This is a senior individual contributor role—not a people-management position—where you'll work directly with data science, engineering, product, collections, and sales teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Data Foundation: Lead integration and validation of external data sources (credit bureaus, banking, open finance, tax data), partnering with engineering on pipelines and data quality. Own cleanup of customer data consents to ensure reliable data access in compliance with local regulations. Replace manual credit and portfolio processes with repeatable SQL/Python workflows. Define and implement data quality checks and documentation.
Credit Policy & Strategy: Develop and refine underwriting criteria and credit limit strategies using internal and external data. Design customer management strategies including credit line increases, decreases, and reinstatements. Identify high-risk customers early and build mitigation processes. Align growth strategies with credit policy in partnership with Sales and Business Development.
Portfolio Monitoring & Collections Support: Define portfolio KPIs and build dashboards tracking portfolio health. Create early-warning signals and monitoring routines to flag deteriorating accounts. Provide Collections with segmentation and prioritization insights. Contribute to loss forecasting and risk-adjusted return analysis with Finance.
Models & Automation: Apply statistical methods (logistic regression, segmentation, clustering) to uncover risk drivers. Develop, validate, and monitor credit risk models. Help define rules and data requirements for automated credit decisioning. Translate model results into clear recommendations for leadership.
AI Integration: Use AI tools to support analysis and verify outputs. Suggest and help build improvements to AI workflows.
**Requirements:**
- 3–7 years of analytics experience in credit risk, with hands-on work on commercial or SMB credit in cards, payments, lending, or related industry
- Advanced SQL: write queries against large, messy datasets and validate data quality independently
- Working proficiency in Python for analysis and statistical modeling (regression, segmentation, clustering)
- Direct experience with external or alternative data sources (bureau, banking, open finance, tax) including integration or cleaning
- Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) in analytical work with curiosity to expand usage
- Track record of turning analysis into implemented credit policy or strategy changes with measurable results
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Professional fluency in English (required for internal global communication)
- Ability to work with meaningful overlap with Latin American business hours
- Version control experience (e.g., GitHub) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Knowledge of Latin American credit data and open finance ecosystems (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia)
- Experience implementing, validating, or monitoring risk and scoring models with data science teams
- Experience supporting collections strategy or early-warning programs
- Visualization tools experience (Tableau, Metabase, Claude Visualization Tools)
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
- High-growth startup or fintech experience
