Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver payloads to orbit and serve the growing demand for launch capacity. The Reliability team ensures quality is embedded throughout the design and production process, working closely with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to balance speed with safety as the program scales from development into production.
As a Senior Build Reliability Engineer focused on Components, you will own critical reliability functions across the rocket's component systems. Your responsibilities include design standardization, design-for-manufacturability (DFM) analysis, and configuration management and control. You will review work instructions, develop manufacturing processes, and document standard rework and repair procedures. In manufacturing, you'll coordinate in-process build verification, traveled work coordination, and quality inspections to catch issues early.
You'll work at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and test teams, staying close to hardware and understanding real-world constraints. This role is about proactively shaping decisions, establishing scalable quality systems and controls, and fostering a culture of ownership where reliability is never compromised for speed. You'll have autonomy and impact at every level, solving novel problems in rocket manufacturing and helping define processes that scale with the Terran R program.
