Immersve is building a decentralized payments protocol that bridges real-world and Metaverse transactions, enabling cryptocurrency and token holders to spend their holdings in fiat currency at merchants or transact in the Metaverse. As a Senior Blockchain Engineer, you will design, implement, and distribute secure blockchain solutions for Immersve's platform. You'll work directly with founders and senior engineers in a remote-first, highly collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the team to determine blockchain technology needs and define functionalities
- Documenting development processes and educating others on blockchain features for secure digital payments
- Staying current with blockchain technologies and applying the latest cryptographic techniques for security
- Contributing to full CI/CD pipelines with multiple daily production deploys from day one
- Contributing across the entire product lifecycle, from initial design through roadmap scoping and delivery
- Performing DevOps work while flexing expertise in your area and growing in others
- Maintaining strong developer principles focused on code quality and performance
- Working with bleeding-edge technologies to establish new tools and patterns as the product evolves
The role emphasizes full-stack capabilities—from cloud infrastructure and databases to APIs and UIs. You'll work comfortably across the tech stack: Javascript, React, Tailwind, Cypress, NodeJS, Hapi, Cucumber, Solidity, Substrate, AWS, Docker, Terraform, DynamoDB, and multi-chain protocols (Ethereum, Polygon).

REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive knowledge in cryptography and blockchain protocols
- Excellent coding skills with full-stack capabilities (cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, UIs)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in the face of unknowns
- Comfortable contributing to high-level technical designs and mentoring others
- Embrace of continuous delivery mindset—working in small batches and verifying correctness at each increment
- Strong team player with focus on code quality and performance
- Exposure to or curiosity about blockchain and smart contract development (not required to know all tech stack; willingness to learn is key)
