Tabby is a fintech platform that enables flexible payment solutions for shoppers and merchants globally. With 15+ million users and $10B+ in annual transaction volume, the company is building an internal AI agent platform to drive automation and innovation across the organization.
You'll join a very early-stage initiative as a Senior Backend Engineer, helping architect and build the foundation of an AI agent ecosystem from the ground up. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape a transformative platform that will scale across multiple business areas. You'll work at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems and AI technologies, designing architectures that integrate LLMs and agent frameworks deeply into core internal tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing backend services and microservices for the AI agent platform
- Participating in architecture design and technology selection
- Staying current with AI agent frameworks (Langchain, Langgraph, ADK) and evaluating new approaches
- Optimizing platform components for agent creation, quality evaluation, and performance under load
- Collaborating with platform users to gather feedback and build user-friendly solutions
- Writing clean, testable, maintainable code in a high-growth environment
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years backend engineering experience
- 2+ years with Golang and 2+ years with Python
- Experience building scalable, distributed systems and high-load architectures
- Strong backend technology stack knowledge: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, microservices
- Proactive mindset, ability to work independently
- B2+ English communication skills
Desired experience:
- AI agent frameworks (Langchain, Langgraph, ADK)
- Building or integrating LLM-based features and agent-centric architectures
- ML experience: model learning, evaluation, and production implementation
- Developing internal tools, automations, and CRM systems
