You'll join the Core Command team as a Senior Backend Engineer, scaling Auth, Users, Roles, and Audit capabilities to support the world's largest organizations. This is a high-impact role designing and building the infrastructure that powers Verkada's platform at global scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design scalable control planes and data primitives across all Verkada products
- Build distributed systems handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of devices worldwide
- Architect and spin up new microservices
- Work on systems that directly impact security and operational efficiency for Fortune 500 companies
You bring 4+ years of backend engineering experience, with proven expertise building and scaling access systems to millions of users globally. Technical requirements include mastery of Python or Go, strong relational database experience (Postgres/MySQL), distributed systems knowledge (Kafka, Redis, Memcached), cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and familiarity with gRPC and API specifications. A CS/CE/SE degree is required.
