As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be at the core of building the technology powering bunch's platform. You'll design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services that solve real customer problems in the private markets space. You'll have significant ownership and influence over the product roadmap, collaborating closely with Product Managers during problem discovery and solution creation, leveraging your technical expertise to drive meaningful impact.
Key responsibilities include designing backend systems that handle complex fund operations workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, and actively addressing technical debt while improving team collaboration and communication. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where you can maximize team output through both technical excellence and leadership.
You should have 5+ years of professional experience building backend systems in fast-paced environments, with proficiency in TypeScript or other strongly typed languages, SQL databases, and frameworks like Nest.js or Spring Boot. Strong understanding of system design principles, scalability, and performance tuning is essential. Experience with fintech, highly regulated industries, or document processing is a plus.
The tech stack includes TypeScript (Node.js with Nest.js on backend), MySQL, Kubernetes on AWS, GitHub for source control and CI/CD, and third-party tools like FusionAuth, Retool, Twilio, SendGrid, and Tally. You'll work with a diverse team of 120+ people from 40+ countries with best-in-class leaders.
