Tempo is a trusted enterprise productivity platform with 30,000+ customers, including one-third of Fortune 500 companies. The company provides integrated solutions for time management, resource planning, budget management, roadmapping, program management, and reporting—primarily as the #1 time management add-on for Jira and across the Atlassian ecosystem.
You will join the engineering team to develop flagship products including Tempo Timesheets, Capacity Planner, and Financial Manager for Jira Cloud. Working alongside product managers, designers, QA engineers, and technical writers, you'll focus on solving real customer problems rather than simply closing tickets.
Key responsibilities include writing efficient, maintainable, and testable code in Kotlin and Java; creating unit, integration, and performance tests; conducting peer code reviews; and solving challenging problems with attention to user experience, security, and performance. You'll collaborate across disciplines to maintain best-in-class Atlassian plugins used by thousands in major enterprises.
You bring 4+ years of server-side development experience with Java and/or Kotlin on commercial web applications. You have strong fundamentals in Computer Science (big-O, data structures, algorithms) and API design. Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, SQL performance optimization, and NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, DynamoDB) is expected. TypeScript and React ecosystem experience is a plus. You work autonomously in remote settings, communicate clearly in English, and thrive in multicultural teams. You're comfortable learning new topics and collaborating on technical specifications without complete upfront documentation.
Tempo offers a remote-first environment with unlimited vacation, comprehensive health/dental/vision benefits, training reimbursement, WFH support, and optional in-person meetups at international offices. The culture emphasizes innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and meaningful impact on enterprise productivity.
