Join Isar Aerospace's Avionics Department as a Senior Avionics Hardware Engineer, taking ownership of high-reliability avionics units critical to the Spectrum Launch Vehicle. You will drive avionics hardware through the complete lifecycle—from early concept and detailed design through qualification and on-orbit operations. Key responsibilities include: - Own at least one high-reliability avionics unit, managing all technical and programmatic interfaces across design, manufacturing, verification, and integration - Execute the full electrical design cycle for PCBAs: component selection, schematic capture, layout, and design verification - Manage unit-level tasks including requirement management, reliability analyses, qualification and acceptance testing, and troubleshooting - Conduct design reviews at unit and system levels - Plan, execute, and evaluate verification and qualification tests under harsh conditions (thermal, vacuum, vibration) - Develop test procedures and automated scripts for functional and electrical performance verification - Participate in integrated testing and flight data reviews - Provide technical mentorship to other engineers Required qualifications: - BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or comparable - 5+ years with complex PCBs and electronics - 2+ years in high-reliability industries (aerospace, medical, automotive) - Deep expertise in circuit theory, embedded systems, power electronics, and analog interfaces - Proficiency with E-CAD tools (Altium Designer preferred) and simulation tools (PSpice, LTspice, Simulink) - Hands-on testing and verification experience - Knowledge of international standards (ISO, ANSI, AEC, MIL) - Experience with FMEA, reliability analysis, fault tree analysis, and design for test/manufacture - Fluent English (spoken and written) Bonus skills: product ownership experience, regulatory/certification agency interaction, Python/Matlab programming, mechanical design tools (Solidworks, NX).
