LucidLink is a file streaming platform enabling teams to access large files in the cloud instantly without downloads, syncing, or VPNs. The company serves 4,000+ customers including Adobe, Spotify, Warner Bros, and Paramount, with 100,000+ users streaming over 100 petabytes across 150+ countries. Founded in 2016 by storage industry veterans, LucidLink is headquartered in San Francisco with engineering offices in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a Senior Automation QA Engineer, you will own the automation strategy and execution for a defined product area or test domain. Your mission is to move coverage from happy-path-only scenarios to comprehensive edge-case, failure-mode, and cross-platform testing. You will build and maintain automated test frameworks and tooling integrated into CI/CD pipelines, reducing flakiness and execution time within your scope. Key responsibilities include: owning automation strategy for assigned domains; building hardened test frameworks; leading root-cause investigations of complex failures in partnership with engineering teams; contributing quality metrics that inform org-wide prioritization; strengthening risk-based test planning; mentoring junior automation engineers; and building technical credibility with engineering teams. You will tackle complex, low-level problems spanning I/O, networking, operating systems, application behavior, and cross-platform interoperability. The role requires hands-on execution—your primary output is working test coverage, not process documentation. You'll work with various applications and technologies across Windows, macOS, and Linux, regularly confronting situations requiring critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail. The company values integrity, innovation, and empathy. You'll join a tight-knit team of 230+ builders operating at startup speed with opportunities for rapid advancement. Benefits include flexible PTO, competitive salary, stock options, and full health coverage.
