Stellar Health is a venture-backed healthtech company (backed by General Atlantic, Point72, and Primary Venture Partners) transforming primary care reimbursement from fee-for-service to value-based models. The company's platform combines technology, people, and analytics to support providers at the point of care, delivering real-time patient information and incentivizing quality outcomes.
As Senior Associate, Quality Programs, you will report to the Director, Quality Programs and own the execution of Stellar's MSSP (Medicare Shared Savings Program) quality submission process. This is a hands-on, analytical role focused on bringing rigor and accuracy to quality data tracking, validation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Submission Execution: Own day-to-day execution of the MSSP quality submission workflow, including data preparation, formatting, and validation ahead of deadlines. Track submission timelines and deliverables, proactively flagging risks, delays, or data gaps. Build and maintain Excel-based trackers, QA checklists, and dashboards to monitor submission status and data integrity. Support internal audits and review cycles ahead of MSSP submission sign-off.
Data & Analysis: Conduct routine data validation and reconciliation to catch discrepancies before they reach payers or regulators. Analyze quality performance data to identify trends, gaps, and escalation areas. Translate raw data into clear, organized summaries supporting leadership reporting.
Growth & Collaboration: Build foundational and increasingly deep knowledge of HEDIS and CMS Stars quality programs, taking on greater subject-matter ownership over time. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Customer Success on quality-related questions and submission readiness. Document and continuously improve submission processes and quality-check procedures.
You are not expected to arrive as a quality subject-matter expert—you are expected to arrive as an exceptional analyst: meticulous with data, fluent in Excel, comfortable owning processes end-to-end, and eager to build deep expertise in HEDIS and CMS Stars over time.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of career experience in a healthcare, quality, data, or operations-focused analyst role
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data cleaning and validation) and comfort working with large, messy datasets
- Sharp analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a track record of catching errors before they become problems
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple deadlines and workstreams without dropping details
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior exposure to HEDIS, CMS Stars, MSSP, or other healthcare quality reporting programs
- Familiarity with CPT, CPT II, and diagnosis (Dx/ICD) coding
- Experience with data visualization or BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- SQL or other data-querying experience
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or health-tech environment
- Bachelor's degree
