Scopely, a leading mobile games company behind MONOPOLY GO! and Pokémon GO, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the Gen AI team in Bangalore. This role focuses on designing and developing advanced AI systems that power analytics, automation, and immersive in-game experiences.
Key responsibilities include leading the strategic design and deployment of AI systems for conversational analytics, knowledge bases, QA automation, and intelligent player-facing features. You will architect scalable AI solutions supporting real-time systems and automation pipelines, with emphasis on designing structured protocols for managing AI model context and creating autonomous agents for decision-making and dynamic interaction.
The role involves mentoring and guiding engineers, promoting best practices, and contributing to architectural decisions that shape long-term technical direction. You will present research, insights, and prototypes that influence product vision and accelerate adoption of emerging AI technologies. Leadership of AI infrastructure initiatives—including model deployment workflows, performance tuning, and production system observability—is a core component.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of professional backend or full-stack development experience using Python, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems (sub-agents, skills, MCPs, tool calling) is essential. You must have strong experience building scalable APIs using FastAPI or Flask, at least 1 year of cloud-native development (AWS/GCP) with Docker containerization, and solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Additional requirements: strong software engineering practices (CI/CD, Git, testing, code quality), excellent problem-solving and system design skills, and strong communication abilities. Bonus qualifications include MLOps, reinforcement learning, computer vision, game AI development experience, or open-source AI contributions.
