As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you'll own complex AI products end-to-end, from early experimentation through production deployment. Your core responsibilities include architecting and shipping customer-facing AI experiences (agent orchestration, tool use, interfaces, backend systems), building reliable agent systems that reason over complex context and handle long-running tasks, and defining evaluation frameworks to systematically improve agent performance.
You'll drive the full product lifecycle: turning prototypes into production systems by making thoughtful decisions about architecture, latency, cost, observability, and UX. You'll help shape technical direction across the stack and mentor other engineers on the team.
The role requires at least 4 years of professional software development experience with deep expertise in production language model systems (agent loops, tool use, retrieval, prompting, structured outputs). You should be comfortable owning full-stack software across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure. Strong product intuition is essential—you care about the "why" as much as the "how" and thrive when defining solutions rather than following specs. You'll engage directly with customers to inform product decisions and have experience mentoring teammates.
