Robinhood is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to join the Enterprise Build team, a small, high-leverage group responsible for transforming AI-built prototypes into production-grade enterprise services. The role sits at the critical intersection of innovation and operational reality, managing the intake pipeline for prototype graduation and owning end-to-end delivery of enterprise integrations. You will own the front of the pipeline: performing rapid technical assessments of incoming prototypes to determine data classification, system dependencies, integration surfaces, and risk factors. Based on this assessment, you recommend disposition—whether a prototype self-serves in the sandbox, becomes a Build engagement, or is better purchased than built. Your intake assessments directly shape the team's roadmap and priorities. You will make graduated services native to Robinhood's enterprise ecosystem by implementing single sign-on and access via Okta, SCIM provisioning, audit logging, and surfaces in Slack, Google Workspace, and ServiceNow where users already work. You'll deliver integration-led graduations end-to-end, leveraging configuration, workflow automation, and targeted glue code to avoid unnecessary ground-up rebuilds. You'll build and maintain MCP integrations connecting Build's services to Robinhood's SaaS estate, making them agent-accessible by default. You'll work directly with business partners to map real workflows before building, serving as their translator throughout engagements. You'll partner with Enterprise Platforms on identity and application-onboarding standards, and with Enterprise Operations on clean operational handoffs. You'll apply approved AI tools relentlessly to automate repetitive assessment, integration, and documentation work, freeing your time for high-judgment decisions. Robinhood operates in a heavily regulated industry where ambiguity is constant and safe-by-default is the house style. This role requires hands-on experience across modern enterprise SaaS platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, ServiceNow, Atlassian), strong scripting and API fluency (Python, REST, webhooks, OAuth, SCIM), and proven ownership of significant service or platform areas. You need an assessor's eye to quickly evaluate unfamiliar applications, exceptional analytical and communication skills to translate technical complexity for executives and engineers, and proven ability to work independently in high-ambiguity situations. Experience in highly regulated industries is valued. The role is based in Menlo Park, CA, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
