Matillion is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to embed security into the product development lifecycle. You will work across engineering and product teams to establish a SecDevOps workflow, ensuring security is architected into designs from the outset rather than bolted on later.
The role is based in Manchester, where Matillion was founded, and you'll be part of a global organization with teams across the UK, US, and India. Matillion builds Maia, an AI Data Automation platform that combines 15 years of data expertise with agentic AI to automate manual data engineering work. Customers including Cisco, DocuSign, and Slack rely on the platform to accelerate data delivery.
You will operate in an engineering capacity, collaborating with product and development teams to:
- Design and implement security controls and best practices into the product architecture
- Establish secure development processes and code review practices
- Conduct threat modeling and security assessments
- Guide teams on secure coding standards and vulnerability remediation
- Work with cloud-based technology stacks to identify and mitigate security risks
