Robinhood is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join the Crypto Expansion team, which is responsible for launching Robinhood's crypto and adjacent financial products in new regions globally. The team owns critical parts of the mobile app including onboarding, funding, account setup, trading product integrations, and platform capabilities required to operate in new jurisdictions. Recent work includes launches in Canada and Europe with multi-currency wallet capabilities, local funding rails, translations infrastructure, and region-specific onboarding experiences.
In this role, you will help launch Robinhood's crypto products in new markets by building critical Android experiences end-to-end. You'll work across onboarding flows, local funding rails, account setup, multi-currency wallet capabilities, trading surfaces, and translations infrastructure. You'll balance region-specific execution with long-term platform thinking to deliver reliable, intuitive mobile experiences that make Robinhood successful in global markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building intuitive, elegant, and stable mobile experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs
- Leading the full lifecycle of product features from ideation and technical design through implementation, testing, and release
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists to create impactful solutions
- Championing engineering best practices that ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability
- Mentoring junior developers and helping elevate team standards and collaboration
You'll be part of a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything they do. The role is based in Menlo Park, CA with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
