Salary: USD 145,000 - 170,000 / annual

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to take part in all stages of product development and deployment for our mobile applications. Mobile is a core part of the Perchwell platform—real estate professionals rely on it while on the go, and the mobile experience is central to how agents search, collaborate, and close deals.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and scale Perchwell's Android app serving real estate professionals, delivering fast, stable, and intuitive mobile experiences that empower users to search, collaborate, and close deals from anywhere.
- Lead Android initiatives from technical design through launch, driving execution and ensuring quality while partnering with senior engineers and leadership on overall direction.
- Help shape the structure and setup of the codebase, advising on decisions to ensure it is scalable, maintainable, and testable to support faster feature development and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with backend, product, design, and QA to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences.
- Contribute to technical direction by helping define standards, participating in architectural decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required qualifications:
- 4-6 years of professional Android development experience with strong command of Kotlin and the modern Android ecosystem (Jetpack, Compose, Coroutines, dependency injection).
- Proven track record owning and delivering features from design through release, with growing scope of impact across the codebase.
- Solid understanding of mobile reliability and scalability, with experience identifying and resolving recurring issues.
- Experience contributing to technical direction and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong customer empathy and ability to translate complex user needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration with backend and product partners.
Preferred qualifications include modular Android architecture experience, familiarity with backend systems and APIs, and continuous integration knowledge.
This role is open to remote candidates, but those located in the NYC area will work out of the New York City HQ in Soho Manhattan at least 3 days per week, including mandatory in-office Mondays. Relocation assistance is available for candidates needing to relocate.
