Heidi Health is building AI-powered clinical tools that reduce administrative burden on healthcare providers. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will own the Android experience for Heidi Remote, a clinical recording device used by doctors in their daily workflows. You'll develop and maintain the companion Android app that pairs with the hardware, manages session synchronization, and enables clinician setup and device management. Key responsibilities include: - Owning and evolving the Heidi Remote Android app as part of the broader Remote team - Building and maintaining Bluetooth/device connectivity, sync, and settings flows - Shipping Remote V2 setup experiences (pairing and Wi-Fi onboarding) in collaboration with product and design - Ensuring cross-platform consistency with iOS and Desktop teams on shared device behavior - Integrating with backend and firmware partners, including factory-side firmware coordination - Continuously improving reliability, performance, and security for clinical workflows You'll need 3+ years of professional Android development with fluency in Kotlin and the modern Android ecosystem (Jetpack, MVVM/Clean architecture). Experience with Bluetooth or IoT-style connected devices is essential. You should be comfortable with REST APIs, offline-friendly patterns, production debugging, and owning features end-to-end in a fast-paced, high-agency environment. Mandarin language skills are a plus for factory and vendor coordination.
