Vanta is a Series D trust management platform that helps businesses earn and prove security compliance continuously. The company serves thousands of enterprises across compliance standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. As Senior Analytics Engineer, you will establish and lead Vanta's analytics function from the ground up. You'll partner with data science teams and business stakeholders to design and implement a scalable analytics stack that serves both current needs and future growth. Key responsibilities: - Design and implement complex data models powering dashboards, self-serve analytics, and data science initiatives - Write highly optimized, scalable SQL queries across large-scale, heterogeneous data warehouses - Enable AI tooling through semantic layers and observability, establishing best practices across the analytics function - Manage and improve data infrastructure supporting data-driven decision-making - Develop front-end applications exposing analytical datasets enterprise-wide - Partner with Product and Corporate Engineering teams to structure source systems for reporting consumption You'll bring a software engineering mindset to analytics engineering, building reusable frameworks rather than bespoke solutions. You're passionate about developer experience, data security, anonymization, and compliance in data warehousing. You're also open to leveraging AI to amplify your skills and work responsibly. Requirements: - Minimum 8 years of experience working with data and 2 years in Software Engineering or related field - Proficiency with analytics tooling: dbt (required), Stitch/Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Airflow, Dagster, Looker/Mode/Sigma - System-oriented, software engineering mindset applied to analytics engineering - Deep knowledge of dimensional and fact modeling in modern data architecture - Passion for enabling developer experience and data empowerment across organizations - Commitment to security, anonymization, and compliance in data warehousing - Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship - Curiosity and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency
