Filigran is a fast-growing, fully remote cybersecurity company founded in October 2022, trusted by over 6,000 public and private organizations worldwide. The company develops innovative open-source solutions to anticipate cyber threats and strengthen organizational security posture. You will join the Data team as a Senior Analytics Engineer, taking end-to-end ownership of Filigran's Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) — from ingestion through consumption. This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role focused on turning raw company data into reliable pipelines, trusted models, and governed, high-quality data assets that enable decision-making across the organization. Core responsibilities center on Analytics Engineering: modeling and transforming data with dbt (staging → intermediate → marts architecture), owning data quality and reliability through testing and monitoring, maintaining the data catalog and governance, and building dashboards in Metabase for team KPIs. You will also maintain and scale ingestion pipelines (Airbyte/Airflow), investigate and fix pipeline failures, and partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, Support, People) to define metrics, model KPIs, and support self-serve analytics. You'll work in a fully remote, async-first, high-trust environment with strong autonomy and end-to-end ownership. The role is highly cross-functional, helping the entire company become more data-driven. The platform has ambitious roadmap items including AI agents for natural-language data querying, self-reporting agents, proactive alerting systems, and semantic layers. Filigran values strong engineering standards, emerging technologies including AI, and a culture grounded in CORE values: Cohesion, Openness, Responsibility, and Equity. The company offers competitive pay with equity, remote-first flexibility, equipment of your choice, and twice-yearly in-person regional and global offsites. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering with strong hands-on expertise in dbt (modeling, testing, data quality, observability, governance in production) - Experience with ingestion and orchestration pipelines (Airflow, Airbyte, or equivalents) — able to maintain, debug, and fix when they break - Proficient in SQL and Python for data transformation, ingestion, and scripting - Cross-functional mindset: comfortable engaging stakeholders, understanding problems, translating them into KPIs and dashboards - Strong autonomy and end-to-end ownership; able to drive scoped projects independently across the full stack (ingestion → transformation → consumption) in an async-first environment - Solid grasp of software engineering best practices: versioning, code reviews, testing, CI/CD - Product-oriented mindset focused on data quality, usability, and real business outcomes BONUS: - Experience building AI agents for data accessibility (natural-language querying, agentic assistants) - Familiarity with LLM/agent stacks (tool calling, MCP integrations) - Experience working fully remote in async-first cultures - Background in cybersecurity industry
