Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Air & Missile Defense Radar team develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time. In this role, you will design and implement advanced multi-target tracking algorithms for novel air and missile threats, including track fusion and discrimination techniques. You'll develop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets. The work spans algorithm development, high-performance distributed systems, and sensor fusion—all deployed as production-grade systems that government and industry customers depend on for mission-critical operations. Key responsibilities include building and leveraging modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements, collaborating directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate solutions into end-to-end defense systems, and optimizing tracking software for performance-critical environments where milliseconds matter. You'll communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers to drive informed decisions, and participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment. Required qualifications: 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent). Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations), and understanding of software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control, debugging).
