Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer to join the Air & Missile Defense Radar team in Broomfield or Fort Collins, Colorado. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge tracking algorithms and real-time software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats for military defense applications.
You will design and implement advanced multi-target tracking algorithms, including track fusion and discrimination techniques for novel air and missile threats. The work involves developing high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets in millisecond-critical environments.
Key responsibilities include building and leveraging modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements, collaborating with radar engineers and system architects to integrate solutions into end-to-end defense systems, and optimizing tracking software for performance-critical deployments. You will communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers, and participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful operational deployment.
Required qualifications: 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field. Strong programming skills in C++ and Python are essential, along with a solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations). You must understand software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging.
