Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion. The Air & Missile Defense Radar team develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time.
In this role, you will design and implement advanced multi-target tracking algorithms for novel air and missile threats, including track fusion and discrimination techniques. You'll develop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets in milliseconds. Your work will span algorithm development, software engineering, and system integration—from novel mathematical approaches to production-grade deployments that government and industry customers depend on for mission-critical operations.
Key responsibilities include building and leveraging modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements; collaborating directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate solutions into end-to-end defense systems; optimizing tracking software for performance-critical environments; communicating technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, leadership, and customers; and participating in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment and operational effectiveness.
You'll work in small, focused teams applying mathematics, software engineering, and signal processing to solve complex real-world problems. This is not academic research—your code and algorithms directly protect lives and critical assets.
