Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer to develop and author airworthiness certification and conformance plans for developmental and production aircraft stores. You will support Flight Releases, tailored airworthiness, and customer platform integration across all military services.
In this role, you will perform technical airworthiness planning, tracking, and verification support within a digital environment. Key responsibilities include developing and negotiating airworthiness bases of certification, means of compliance, and certification activities. You will cultivate total-system airworthiness relationships between engineers and technical authorities, including customer partners.
You will guide technical reviews with other airworthiness engineers and engineering disciplines across the total system design, development, and test processes. You will perform functional and process analyses, requirements allocation, and definition studies with program engineers and customer representatives, translating customer requirements into criteria and derived requirements.
Your role includes ensuring logical and systematic realization of customer airworthiness certification objectives, tailoring traditional airworthiness processes, and continuously evaluating and updating airworthiness plans throughout the product lifecycle. You will proactively support design development toward airworthiness compliance and guide all processes leading to successful issuance of Military Flight Releases (MFR) or other customer-specific airworthiness approvals.
You will develop, author, and maintain airworthiness activities in a digital environment interconnected with system requirements, program schedules, flight test matrices, and risk assessments. Using digital infrastructure, you will perform statistical analysis of program performance and provide input to flight test program execution schedules.
Faced with technical and execution challenges, you will develop creative solutions to unique problems with a bias for action, empowered to engage your team to solve and fix any problem encountered.
