Celonis is seeking a Senior AI Transformation & Innovation Consultant (internal title: Senior Applied Value Engineer) to drive cutting-edge AI solutions for the company's most strategic global customers. You will work at the intersection of process intelligence and enterprise AI, architecting and prototyping state-of-the-art solutions that combine Celonis' Process Intelligence Platform with advanced AI technologies from partners like Microsoft and OpenAI.
In this role, you will lead technical discovery with C-suite executives to understand their strategic challenges and operational pain points. You'll architect bespoke, domain-specific AI solutions—including LLM/agent systems with advanced RAG, tools, and enterprise-grade security—and prototype them on the Celonis platform. You will demonstrate business impact through compelling ROI/TCO modeling and executive presentations, then shepherd implementations through to successful adoption and value realization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end Proof-of-Value (PoV) projects for high-stakes customer engagements
- Translating complex customer requirements into enterprise architecture and AI solutioning
- Architecting secure, scalable LLM/agent systems with strict guardrails and compliance integration
- Acting as a trusted advisor to strategic accounts, ensuring programmatic value realization
- Codifying domain expertise into reusable methodologies and globally scalable assets
- Mentoring junior team members on advanced AI and solutioning techniques
You will be the foremost Celonis product and domain positioning expert for your accounts, seamlessly connecting systemic business bottlenecks to visionary AI solutions. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong executive presence, technical depth, and the ability to drive projects from discovery through value achievement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of executive-facing presales and value engineering experience, with proven track record of independently owning technical closes, driving AI transformation narratives, and executing complex PoVs through to achieved value
- Comprehensive domain and industry expertise (e.g., supply chain, finance, operations) with ability to speak C-suite language and connect systemic bottlenecks to strategic solutions
- Software/data engineering proficiency: Python, modular API design, reusable libraries, advanced SQL, and scalable data integration using ML/AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Hugging Face)
- Strong presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders, including executives, whiteboarding, and formal demos
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Native-level or near-native German language skills (written and spoken) with ability to confidently lead customer workshops, conduct executive presentations, and manage stakeholder interactions in German
