Relevance AI is building the home of the AI workforce—a platform enabling teams to create and manage intelligent agents that handle workflows, decisions, and collaboration. The company powers industry leaders including Canva, Databricks, Confluent, Autodesk, and Activision Blizzard, and recently raised Series B funding from Bessemer Venture Partners, Insight Partners, Peak XV, and King River Capital.
As a Senior AI Product Engineer, you'll be a core product builder behind Relevance AI's most advanced AI capabilities, focusing on agents that operate with increasing autonomy on real work. You'll have access to frontier models, rethink traditional software patterns, and work closely with customer-facing teams to rapidly prototype and ship products.
Key responsibilities include: building frontier AI-native and agentic products used by thousands of customers daily; owning problems end-to-end from idea through implementation, launch, and iteration; designing intelligent workflows powered by LLMs, tools, memory, and agent collaboration; turning emerging AI capabilities into delightful customer experiences; partnering with product, design, and customer teams; and raising the engineering bar through mentorship and technical leadership.
You should demonstrate AI-native building expertise—architecting and directing coding agents, using AI daily to decompose problems and orchestrate agent workflows while maintaining quality. Strong product thinking is essential: you care deeply about building the right solution to meet customer outcomes, not just completing tickets. You're comfortable operating across the full stack (frontend, backend, infrastructure, AI systems) and understand distributed system fundamentals. You ship continuously, balancing pace with quality, and take evaluations, on-call responsibilities, and root-cause fixes seriously.
The tech stack includes React, Vue.js, TypeScript (frontend); Express.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Python (backend); PostgreSQL, MongoDB (database); AWS, Vercel, Terraform, Kubernetes (infrastructure); and AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor. Experience in the exact stack is not required—what matters is how quickly you learn new tools and how deeply you already use AI coding agents in your daily workflow.
The role is based in Sydney with a hybrid model requiring 3 days in office. The company is willing to sponsor engineers relocating from overseas to Australia. You'll work in a high-trust, low-ego environment with competitive salaries, equity, and career-defining opportunities as an early team member shaping the company's culture and future.
