Kraken, a leading crypto platform founded in 2011 and trusted by over 10 million users globally, is building an AI-native growth engine. You'll join the Growth Foundations Group as the second AI engineer on this initiative, working directly with the AI Growth Infrastructure Lead and growth domain experts.
You will design and build agent orchestration workflows that automate growth decisions across paid media, lifecycle messaging, organic search, conversion rate optimization, incentives, referrals, and other growth levers. Rather than bolting automation onto existing processes, you're architecting a fundamentally new model where AI agents make distribution decisions, creative is generated at scale, and intelligence compounds across all product teams.
Key responsibilities include: building agent orchestrations and automated workflows; integrating the AI reasoning layer with growth execution platforms, data infrastructure, experimentation systems, and analytics; creating reusable workflow patterns, prompt libraries, and integration clients; implementing monitoring and audit logging for governance; and automating creative generation pipelines from brief to distribution.
You'll own build velocity for new growth workstreams, ensuring integrations are reliable and handle errors gracefully, and documenting workflows so domain specialists can tune and improve them independently. This role requires someone who moves fast, builds from specifications without hand-holding, and balances speed with quality.
Required: 3+ years building automation workflows, integrations, or agentic systems; strong API integration knowledge (REST, webhooks, authentication, error handling); hands-on experience with LLM APIs (prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool use, agent chaining); ability to execute from specs; understanding of growth/marketing context; and a track record of shipping fast without compromising quality.
Nice-to-haves: experience with paid media platforms, marketing automation, CRM, or lifecycle messaging; familiarity with data warehouse patterns and event tracking; background in high-growth fintech or consumer tech; experience designing multi-agent architectures.
