Scopely, a leading mobile games and interactive entertainment company, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join Forge, the Creative Technology & AI team within Flamed (the in-house creative agency), based in Barcelona on a hybrid basis.
Forge is building the future of creative production by combining AI, engineering, automation, and creative technology to empower creative teams to move faster, experiment more, and scale creativity across Scopely's portfolio of games including MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO, Stumble Guys, and others.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered products and services that have measurable impact across multiple game teams. You'll work closely with engineers, creative technologists, designers, producers, and artists to turn ambitious ideas into production-ready solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning AI products and services throughout their full lifecycle, from discovery and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Building production-ready AI applications leveraging LLMs, agents, automation frameworks, and modern cloud technologies
- Prototyping rapidly to validate ideas with users, then evolving successful experiments into scalable, maintainable solutions
- Partnering with Creative, Production, and Engineering teams to understand workflows and translate them into practical AI solutions
- Driving technical decisions within the team's architecture and engineering standards
- Participating in design reviews and helping shape technical decisions through thoughtful proposals and engineering trade-offs
- Ensuring solutions are reliable, observable, secure, and maintainable through best practices in testing, versioning, permissions, and monitoring
- Contributing to a collaborative engineering culture by sharing knowledge and improving technical standards
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems
- Strong hands-on engineering skills with experience shipping products end-to-end
- Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, or automation platforms
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, cloud services, and modern development practices
- Ability to move quickly through ambiguity while maintaining high engineering standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Pragmatic mindset focused on solving real user problems and delivering business impact
- Passion for applying AI to improve workflows, creativity, and operational efficiency
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience building internal platforms or developer tools, working with multimodal AI or computer vision, familiarity with MLOps and AI observability, and experience supporting creative production or digital asset workflows.
