Osano is a B-Corporation and leading data privacy platform helping enterprises comply with GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy regulations. We're seeking a Senior AI Engineer to architect and deploy privacy-first AI systems that power the next generation of our product capabilities.
In this role, you'll go beyond API wrappers and chat interfaces to design and deploy autonomous AI agents, strict-source-following RAG systems, and evaluation frameworks ensuring reliability, compliance, and production-grade performance. You'll own 0→1 initiatives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy autonomous AI agents and multi-agent workflows using LangGraph
- Design strict-source-following RAG systems that minimize hallucination and enforce citation integrity
- Implement guardrails, structured outputs, and validation layers for production systems
- Build scalable backend services using FastAPI and orchestrate agentic workflows
- Deploy and manage AI workloads within AWS or Azure, optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost
- Develop rigorous evaluation pipelines measuring accuracy, citation adherence, latency, and reliability
- Establish metric-driven iteration cycles and continuously refine deployed systems
- Embed privacy-by-design principles across the AI stack, ensuring compliance and secure data handling
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align AI capabilities with regulatory standards
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven experience deploying and managing AI workloads in AWS or Azure
- Deep technical understanding of LLM usage and orchestration beyond prompt engineering
- Strong expertise in Python AI ecosystem: FastAPI, LangGraph, and related tools
- Demonstrated experience building complex RAG systems and autonomous AI agents
- Experience building evaluation frameworks and iterating based on performance metrics
- Self-directed, curious mindset comfortable navigating ambiguity
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Knowledge Graphs to enhance RAG precision
- Familiarity with Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs)
- Background in compliance-heavy or regulated environments
- Data anonymization techniques experience
