As a Senior AI Engineer, you will architect and build scalable, production-grade GenAI systems and services. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing end-to-end Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, integrating and orchestrating large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or open-source alternatives) into real-world applications, and building internal abstractions, SDKs, and reusable components for GenAI capabilities.
You will implement evaluation pipelines, guardrails, and monitoring systems for hallucination detection, drift, and quality control. You'll optimize inference performance across cost, token usage, and response latency dimensions. You'll design multi-step agent workflows and tool integrations with a focus on safety and reliability, leading the transition from experimentation to hardened production systems.
The role includes mentoring 1-2 junior engineers and establishing best practices for GenAI engineering across the organization. You'll work with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code. Experience with vector databases, LLM orchestration frameworks, and monitoring/logging/tracing systems is essential.
The position offers a hybrid work model with flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the European Economic Area, EU, Switzerland, or UK (up to 6 weeks per year).
