Join FlixBus's People & Organization Digital Transformation team as a Senior AI & Automation Solutions Engineer. You'll work directly with the Head of Digital Transformation and a close-knit team of four engineers based in Berlin, driving automation and AI initiatives across Flix's global HR technology landscape.
In this hybrid role (minimum 3 days/week in Gurugram), you'll lead technical workstreams supporting internal automation projects, including evaluation of global HR systems, assessment of integration complexity, and support for potential migrations from enterprise platforms like Workday. You'll design and build automation workflows using n8n, UiPath, and Python, with multi-step orchestration, exception handling, monitoring, and alerting.
Key responsibilities include building enterprise system integrations using REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, SFTP, and event-driven patterns across the HR technology stack. You'll develop secure AI integrations connecting platforms such as Claude with HRIS and enterprise systems using MCP servers, connectors, plugins, and agent frameworks, with appropriate access controls and user-level permissions.
You'll deploy and operate internal applications and AI-powered tools on AWS infrastructure, implementing RBAC/ABAC access models, secrets management, credential rotation, and audit logging. The role requires analyzing business processes end-to-end, identifying automation opportunities, and designing scalable target-state architectures that support both evaluation and eventual migration execution.
You'll engage with cross-functional stakeholders across Europe and APAC, translating complex technical requirements into clear solution designs and project deliverables across 3–6 month project scopes. This is a pure technical role with no administrative overhead, no time-critical firefighting, and no expectation of HR domain expertise on day one—the team can teach you the domain. What matters is your engineering mindset, depth of integration expertise, and natural instinct for automation.
