Scopely, a leading mobile games publisher (MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO!, Stumble Guys), is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join its Gen AI team in Bangalore. You will lead the strategic design, development, and deployment of advanced AI systems powering conversational analytics, knowledge bases, QA automation, and in-game intelligent experiences.
Key responsibilities include architecting and implementing scalable AI solutions for real-time systems and automation pipelines; designing structured protocols for managing AI model context across diverse applications; creating autonomous agents for decision-making and dynamic player interaction; collaborating across product, engineering, and game design teams to translate goals into AI-powered capabilities; mentoring and guiding engineers while promoting best practices; and presenting research and prototypes that influence product vision and accelerate adoption of emerging AI technologies. You will also lead AI infrastructure efforts including model deployment workflows, performance tuning, and production observability.
Required qualifications: 5+ years professional experience in backend or full-stack development using Python, with at least 2 years in a senior role; hands-on experience building, integrating, and optimizing agentic AI workflows (sub-agents, skills, MCPs, tool calling); strong experience building scalable, high-performance APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar; 1+ year cloud-native development (AWS/GCP) and Docker containerization; solid software engineering fundamentals (CI/CD, Git, testing, code quality); understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and SQL/NoSQL data management; strong product thinking and ownership mindset; excellent system design and problem-solving skills; and clear communication ability.
Bonus: MLOps, reinforcement learning, computer vision, game AI development experience, or open-source AI contributions.
