- Own manufacturing process control (assembly, calibration, verification testing) to ensure reliability, quality, and yield
- Act as a player-coach on complex engineering and operational challenges, driving cross-functional collaboration
- Serve as a critical member of new product introduction (NPI) teams, focusing on manufacturing readiness, return of experience, producibility, cost effectiveness, and industrialization
- Manage transition details including first article inspections (FAI), fixture assembly issues, and maturity of manufacturing readiness
- Secure mass production capacity, throughput, yield, and process capability
This is not a typical shop-floor manufacturing role; it focuses on supporting an extended global team and managing complex product transitions from prototype to mass production.

- 3+ years in engineering management or engineering team leadership role
- 5+ years of technical experience in manufacturing engineering for complex electro-mechanical product industrialization at scale (machined, sheet metal, injection molded, PCBA, linear motors, LCD, cables, plastic components)
- Experience with remotely managed NPI and contract manufacturers, transitioning high-accuracy products from prototype to mass production
- Expertise in production quality metrics, GD&T, and process/equipment qualification procedures
- Proficiency in statistical analysis methods (DOE, comparison testing, Gage R&R), structured problem solving (A3, 8D, DMAIC, fault-tree), and process control (SPC, Cp/Cpk)
- Willingness to work onsite in a fast-paced environment and occasionally coordinate with colleagues in different time zones
- Travel to vendors, suppliers, and production facilities (primarily China) approximately 10-20% of the time
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP product development processes
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience with data analysis tools (JMP, Minitab) and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL)
- OnShape or Solidworks CAD modeling skills
