Okta is seeking a Senior AEM DevOps Engineer to join the Technology, Data, and Insights (TDI) team. This role focuses on securing, automating, and maintaining Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) infrastructure with emphasis on security, reliability, and automated compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configure and manage AEM Cloud environments with identity and access management controls
- Manage CDN infrastructure (Cloudflare, Adobe-managed CDN) to optimize performance and implement DDoS mitigation strategies
- Implement and maintain traffic filtering rules and Web Application Firewall (WAF) configurations at the CDN level to block malicious traffic and application-layer attacks
- Integrate security scanning tools (SAST/DAST) and secrets detection into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) to identify vulnerabilities early
- Harden AEM author, publish, and dispatcher instances with focus on dispatcher security, SSL certificate automation, and ModSecurity configurations
- Monitor system performance and security logs using tools like Splunk for proactive threat detection and incident response
- Audit platform and integrations (Adobe Analytics, Target) for compliance with corporate security policies and industry standards
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years administering and securing AEM environments
- Strong understanding of Headless CMS security best practices, API key management, and JWT authentication
- Expertise in CDN management, DDoS mitigation, and WAF rule implementation
- Proficiency in Apache Sling, JCR, OSGi, and web servers (Nginx, Apache)
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI)
- Experience with cloud-based AEM implementations (AEM as a Cloud Service, AWS, Azure)
- Ability to analyze log files, thread dumps, and heap dumps for troubleshooting
Nice-to-have skills include AEM Headless deployment security, Vercel Cloud integration with AEM, and NextJS/React knowledge.
