Cambium is a growth-stage startup transforming waste into opportunity by converting salvaged lumber into Carbon Smart Wood™. The company recently closed an $18.5M Series A and serves leading brands including Amazon, Equinox, and Room & Board across construction, design, and furniture industries. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2024, Cambium is scaling rapidly and seeking an experienced accounting professional to strengthen its financial operations.
In this hands-on role, you will own core accounting processes and serve as a key member of the finance team reporting to the VP of Finance. You will lead the month-end close process across the parent company and two subsidiaries, completing closes within ten business days. Your responsibilities include ensuring accurate reconciliations in NetSuite across COGS, debt schedules, asset tracking, AP/AR, and balance sheet items. You will clean up and validate historical transactions, including migrating data from legacy ERPs such as QuickBooks and Sage. Additionally, you will manage external accounting contractors, oversee ERP integrity to ensure NetSuite reflects real-time accurate data, and support external audit processes while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
You will provide granular reporting on key metrics including margins, time to payment, and deal data segmented by region, product family, channel, and deal type. Working closely with the Finance Operations Manager, you will ensure accurate project costing and maintain vendor/client communications. Inventory and work-in-process accuracy oversight is also part of your purview.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with deep NetSuite expertise and a strong manufacturing accounting background who wants to make an impact at a climate-focused, high-growth company.
