Machina Labs is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the accounts payable function and support broader accounting operations across a multi-entity NetSuite environment. This is a hands-on role combining day-to-day AP processing with GL analysis, journal entries, and process improvement initiatives as the company scales.
You will report to the Accounting Manager and be responsible for building scalable processes across procurement, AP, and close cycles. Key responsibilities include:
• Own the full accounts payable function, including vendor bills and invoices in NetSuite and Bill.com, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
• Perform 3-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice) to validate bills before payment
• Manage vendor onboarding, including W-9/W-8 collection, banking setup, and record maintenance across systems
• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, reclasses, corrections) as part of month-end and year-end close
• Perform GL account analysis and reconciliations, including credit card transactions and other balance sheet accounts
• Maintain clean account classifications and coding standards
• Maintain the fixed asset schedule, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
• Identify and help resolve process gaps, particularly around system integrations
• Support audit preparation, including pulling supporting documentation, organizing transaction populations, and responding to auditor requests
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant time in accounts payable
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite
• Experience performing 3-way matching in a procure-to-pay environment
• Detail-oriented with strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
