Ibotta, a leading performance marketing platform (NYSE: IBTA) and the largest tech IPO to come out of Colorado, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Denver. This hybrid role (3 days/week in office: Tue-Thu) offers the opportunity to own core month-end close processes and drive accounting excellence across the organization. You will prepare and manage monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules across cash, prepaids, accrued liabilities, cost of revenue, and payroll-related accruals. You'll conduct monthly expense flux and variance analyses in partnership with FP&A to support strategic decision-making. As a first-line reviewer, you'll provide constructive feedback on staff accountant work, supporting team development and growth. Key responsibilities include partnering with FP&A, HR, IT, and Business Intelligence teams to lead accounting initiatives, system implementations, and workflow optimizations with minimal oversight. You'll continuously evaluate standard operating procedures to reduce close-cycle times, streamline manual entries, and adopt AI-assisted accounting tools. You'll support internal and external audits, ensuring robust documentation, strong internal controls, and SOX compliance. Ad-hoc financial reporting, system upgrades, policy updates, and strategic initiatives round out the role. Required qualifications: 3-4+ years of general accounting experience (public accounting/audit preferred); Bachelor's in Accounting preferred; CPA or CPA candidate preferred with deep US GAAP knowledge. Strong Excel skills; NetSuite and FloQast experience preferred. Demonstrated capability reviewing work, providing feedback, or mentoring team members. Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance. Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, strong adaptability, and a track record of meeting deadlines. Compensation: $85,000–$98,000 base (adjusted for experience), plus variable component, competitive benefits (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) match, equity, paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals. Must be authorized to work in the US full-time.
