Dandy is transforming the dental industry (a $400B+ market) by building an operating system for dental practices globally. The company operates physical labs, manufacturing facilities, and international entities, backed by leading venture capital firms.
You will join the Finance team as a Senior Accountant, reporting to the Assistant Controller. This is a hands-on role owning core month-end and year-end close processes for a growing, operationally complex business. You'll work with two US manufacturing labs, multiple international entities, and increasing transaction volume.
Key responsibilities:
- Own prepaid, accrued expense, and operating expense schedules (professional fees, software, contractor spend)
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close with clear documentation of estimates, allocations, and accruals
- Book intercompany entries and support consolidation across US and international entities; coordinate with Tax on quarterly transfer pricing
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve differences before close

- Trace coding errors back to source systems (payroll, purchasing, billing) and work with system owners to fix upstream
- Document processes, accounting policies, and controls for audit support

- Automate manual close steps in NetSuite and related systems
You'll partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, People, and FP&A to identify process gaps and implement solutions. The role requires someone who understands how physical operations (labs, materials, equipment, shipping, people) flow into the general ledger and can work upstream to ensure data accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years as a Senior Accountant, OR 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in an operational business: manufacturing, distribution, healthcare services, logistics, or multi-site operations
- Strong grasp of US GAAP, accruals, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with large data sets
- Track record of fixing root causes in upstream processes
- Clear communication with both accountants and non-accountants
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Curiosity and willingness to ask questions
Bonus qualifications: inventory/cost/manufacturing accounting experience, multi-entity and multi-currency accounting, NetSuite experience, public accounting or audit background, CPA or CPA candidate status, BI tool experience (Looker).
