You'll join the AutoReview team as a Senior Backend Software Engineer focused on building the next generation of 3D design analysis systems. This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering, CAD systems, and machine learning. You'll own backend development for 3D AutoReview features, from pipeline architecture through production delivery.
Key responsibilities include: designing and implementing geometry parsing and model analysis systems; building scalable backend infrastructure and APIs; developing extensible rule systems for custom 3D review workflows; collaborating with ML teams to integrate AI-assisted review capabilities; working with frontend and product teams on cross-functional feature delivery; and helping maintain high technical standards across the team.
You'll work on deeply technical, multidisciplinary problems without perfectly scoped specs—you'll need to experiment, test assumptions, and shape how AI-driven design review evolves. You'll become the go-to expert for 3D analysis within AutoReview and help onboard others.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend development experience, strong 3D math skills, and practical experience with CAD kernels (HOOPS, OpenCascade, Parasolid) or graphics engines. You should be comfortable with multiple data storage paradigms (SQL, NoSQL, vector databases) and have hands-on experience with ML/AI productionalization—including 3D model ML pipelines, LLM integration, and cloud ML deployment. Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, OnShape) and mechanical engineering concepts is a plus.
