Veeam is seeking a Security Tech Lead to drive the design and rollout of standardized security solutions across Veeam Data Cloud, a rapidly scaling platform. You'll work closely with the Director of Security Engineering to establish a dedicated Software Security Engineering platform team and turn unified security strategy into an actionable engineering roadmap.
In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will lead the architecture and implementation of shared security primitives across the cloud platform, translating high-level security strategy into concrete, prioritized engineering roadmaps for cloud services and platform capabilities. You'll write and review production code, drive design and code reviews, and mentor engineers while establishing secure-by-default patterns and shared libraries to streamline security across teams.
You'll build the foundation for a Software Security Engineering platform to manage shared security services and tools, collaborating with product, platform, SRE, and compliance teams to ensure security solutions are robust and easy to adopt. Your work will enhance security posture through automation, guardrails, and policy-as-code approaches.
Technically, you'll work with Go, Python, and TypeScript across modern cloud-native architectures (microservices, event-driven systems, multi-tenant SaaS) using AWS, Azure, and GCP. You'll focus on authentication and authorization services, identity providers, security control planes, guardrails, and secure logging, leveraging CI/CD, observability stacks, and policy-as-code frameworks.
You bring strong coding skills in Golang, Python, or TypeScript, extensive experience building distributed cloud-native systems, and practical expertise in authentication/authorization and security guardrails for production systems. You have proven technical leadership in architecture, roadmap influence, and mentoring, with a strong product mindset focused on platform security that empowers other teams. Bonus experience includes building or leading platform and product security teams, multi-tenant SaaS background, familiarity with zero trust and least privilege models, and exposure to regulatory or enterprise security requirements.
