Salary: GBP 62,000 - 70,500 / annual
Huntress is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join its 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress provides enterprise-grade cybersecurity to businesses of all sizes, currently protecting over 5 million endpoints and 14 million identities worldwide.
In this role, you will triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts daily. Your responsibilities include analyzing EDR telemetry and forensic artifacts to determine attack root causes, performing tactical malware analysis, investigating suspicious Microsoft M365 activity, and providing remediation guidance. You'll also contribute to detection engineering efforts and collaborate with the Product Support team on threat escalations.

Required qualifications include 2+ years of SOC or Digital Forensics (DFIR) experience, demonstrated knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS attack surfaces, familiarity with threat actor tools and techniques (MITRE ATT&CK Framework, PowerShell, Active Directory, lateral movement), and understanding of static and dynamic malware analysis. You should have working knowledge of Windows/Enterprise Domain Administration, core networking concepts, and web technologies, plus strong communication skills to explain complex security events to non-technical audiences.
Preferred experience includes MSP/MSSP/MDR roles, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash), cloud investigation platforms (M365, Azure, AWS, GCP), and participation in cybersecurity competitions or training platforms like HackTheBox and TryHackMe.
