Huntress is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join its 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) team in Ireland. Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress provides enterprise-grade cybersecurity to businesses of all sizes, currently protecting over 5 million endpoints and 14 million identities worldwide. In this role, you will triage, investigate, respond to, and remediate intrusions daily. You'll work alongside passionate security professionals combating threat actors globally, with daily opportunities to develop your analyst skillset and accelerate career growth. The SOC is an elite team focused on staying at the forefront of emerging threats. Key responsibilities include: triaging and investigating alerts from the Huntress platform; performing tactical review of EDR telemetry, log sources, and forensic artifacts to determine root causes and provide remediations; conducting tactical malware analysis; investigating suspicious Microsoft M365 activity; assisting with escalations from the Product Support team; contributing to detection engineering efforts; and collaborating on projects to improve outcomes for analysts and partners. You bring 2+ years of SOC or Digital Forensics (DFIR) experience with demonstrated expertise in Windows, Linux, and macOS attack surfaces. You understand threat actor tools and techniques (MITRE ATT&CK Framework, PowerShell, WMIC, Scheduled Tasks, lateral movement, persistence, defense evasion). You have hands-on experience with static and dynamic malware analysis, Windows/Enterprise Domain Administration (Active Directory, Group Policy), core networking concepts, and web technologies. Strong communication skills enable you to explain complex security events to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively across teams. You're customer-focused, curious, and genuinely excited about learning. Preferred qualifications include MSP/MSSP/MDR experience, Linux and macOS investigative expertise, scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Python, Bash, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby), hands-on platform experience (HackTheBox, TryHackMe, Blue Team Labs Online), cloud investigation skills (M365, Azure, AWS, GCP), cybersecurity competition participation, and familiarity with MSP tools like RMMs.
