As a Security Engineering Tech Lead, you will shape the long-term security strategy for a fast-growing, cloud-native platform operating at scale. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with mentorship, allowing you to directly influence the technical direction of the security program while remaining deeply engaged in engineering work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Shape and execute cloud-native security strategy, serving as the technical lead for AWS, Kubernetes, and IAM architecture
- Partner with Platform Engineering to embed reusable security capabilities into the engineering platform
- Scale security posture by engineering self-service guardrails and automated controls that enable product teams to ship faster and safely
- Standardize security patterns and reference architectures to enable cross-organization scalability while reducing friction for engineering teams
- Drive secure adoption of AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and developer productivity platforms
- Elevate team technical maturity through mentoring, design reviews, and fostering a culture of security ownership
Required qualifications: 7+ years in security engineering, cloud security, or related technical security roles; at least 2 years in a tech lead, staff-level, or mentorship capacity; strong hands-on AWS security experience across IAM, networking, workload security, logging, monitoring, and cloud-native services; strong Kubernetes and containerized environment security knowledge; experience with IaC, CI/CD security, distributed systems, identity and access control; ability to review technical designs and provide clear security guidance; fluency in Hebrew and English; proven track record of influencing stakeholders and cross-functional teams; demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
Preferred qualifications include experience with AI, LLM, MCP, or agentic development environments; background in security automation, internal security platforms, or developer-facing tooling; experience with threat modeling, security architecture, or secure design programs; scripting or coding experience in Python, Go, or similar languages; experience designing and building security automation or internal security platforms at scale.
