Wiz is seeking a Security Engineer to secure its products and production infrastructure. The role involves leading threat modeling and security reviews across Wiz's cloud infrastructure and products, identifying attack surfaces and developing scalable mitigation strategies. You will build automation, policy-as-code, and security tooling that enables development teams to shift left and integrate end-to-end security into their workflows. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing secure baselines for cloud resources and Kubernetes-based infrastructure, driving vulnerability management and remediation efforts across the software supply chain from development through production, and extending detection and response capabilities by building scalable solutions to identify malicious activity, triage alerts, and investigate incidents. You'll partner deeply with Wiz's engineering and operations teams to help them deliver secure-by-design solutions. The role requires 7+ years of security engineering or security operations experience in cloud environments, with strong expertise in AWS cloud security (or equivalent Azure/GCP experience), cloud-native Kubernetes services (EKS/GKE/AKS), container security, IAM and cloud identity management at scale, and technical security reviews including threat modeling. You should have practical understanding of web application security (OWASP Top-10), hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Pulumi), and automation/tooling development in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego.
