Wiz is seeking a Security Engineer to lead security initiatives across its product and production infrastructure. The role combines threat modeling, vulnerability management, detection and response operations, and infrastructure hardening in cloud-native environments. Key responsibilities include: - Leading threat modeling and security reviews across Wiz's products and cloud infrastructure, identifying attack surfaces and developing scalable mitigation strategies - Building automation, policy-as-code, and security tooling to enable development teams to shift left and integrate security into workflows - Designing and implementing secure baselines for cloud resources and Kubernetes-based infrastructure - Driving vulnerability management and remediation efforts, prioritizing issues and implementing preventative controls across software supply chains - Extending detection and response capabilities by building scalable solutions to identify malicious activity, triage alerts, and investigate incidents - Building functional partnerships with engineering and operations teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions Required qualifications: - 7+ years of security engineering or security operations experience in cloud environments - Strong AWS cloud security expertise (Azure/GCP experience considered with some AWS background) - Cloud-native Kubernetes services (EKS/GKE/AKS) and container security knowledge - Deep understanding of securing IAM and cloud identities at scale - Proven ability to lead technical security reviews, conduct threat modeling, and translate findings into actionable controls - Practical understanding of web application security (OWASP Top-10) - Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, Pulumi) - Experience with automation and tooling development in Python, Go, Shell, HCL, or Rego Preferred: Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent experience, remote team collaboration experience, background in software development or managed infrastructure operations, familiarity with CNAPP/CSPM/CIEM solutions.
