Rogo is an enterprise AI company transforming global finance by empowering investment banks, private equity funds, and investment firms. The company has achieved product-market fit with world-class investors backing rapid scaling.
You will lead the design and implementation of cloud security architecture across AWS and GCP as a deeply hands-on senior engineer. This role combines strategic technical direction with tactical execution: you'll architect secure cloud foundations, author Terraform at scale, design identity and network systems, and embed security into the core platform while remaining highly involved in code review, infrastructure changes, and production support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting cloud security foundations across AWS and GCP (account/project structure, IAM, network segmentation, secure service-to-service communication)
- Authoring and maintaining Terraform-based security architecture with reusable modules, policy enforcement, and secure defaults
- Designing and operating cloud identity systems at scale (workload identity, service accounts, role assumption, cross-cloud access)
- Leading security design of cloud networking (VPC architecture, private connectivity, egress control, firewalling, isolation)
- Building security automation across CI/CD and cloud environments
- Owning Kubernetes and container security for production workloads (GKE/EKS)
- Defining logging, monitoring, and detection pipelines
- Performing threat modeling and architectural reviews
- Acting as a technical multiplier through code review, mentoring, and raising security standards across the organization
You will operate as a senior technical leader with real ownership of cloud security direction while remaining hands-on with infrastructure code and platform decisions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience building cloud security platforms or foundational infrastructure in AWS and GCP (not just consuming managed services)
- Deep fluency in Terraform, including large-scale state management, module design, and safe rollout strategies
- Systems-thinking approach to security (secure primitives and architecture, not point solutions)
- Strong opinions on cloud IAM and networking design informed by real-world experience and incident response
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and defining long-term technical direction
- Preference for automation, code, and guardrails over documentation and manual processes
- Ability to influence architecture through technical depth
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience designing multi-account AWS organizations or large GCP project hierarchies
- Familiarity with policy-as-code systems (OPA, custom policy engines)
- Experience with cloud-native detection and posture tools
- Background in high-growth startups or infrastructure-heavy platforms
